Power of Prayer

I wanted to share this prayer with my readers because I have felt pressure from resources that teach about everything we should be doing to save our spouse and/or raise godly children. There are books that are really good and can really spur us on but they are insufficient and can sometimes even discourage because everyone's situation is different. I try to filter the knowledge where it applies to us and agrees with scripture.
Also, I sometimes feel bad because I can't buy resources that claim to help me in my calling as wife and mother. Or I can't buy my girls the latest resources that will spur them on to godly femininity. But, I have my Bible and I have my God I can pray to. I have loving hands...

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this day.
Thank you for all the many blessings you have given us.
Lord, I want to ask that you be with my husband in all he says and all he does and wherever he works.
Father, I pray that you be with my children while at home and at school.
Help them to learn only what you want them to know.
I pray that you turn every potentially bad situation into a testimony for your glory.
Finally, I pray for myself.
Lord, help me be the wife my husband needs me to be for your glory and for his witness.
Lord, help me be the kind of mother that you want me to be.
Help me keep my home the way you would if you were here instead of me.
Lord, I can't be you without your help and strength.
Help me to always be aware of my dependency on You and never trust in my strength alone.
Lord, be with me and my loved ones always and forever.
Help us to have a firm testimony in the power of prayer.
Thank you Lord, for all your help and blessings.
Thank you that you love me and my family though we don't deserve your love.
Thank you for showing me how I can have an intimate relationship with You Lord.
I say these things in the name of Your Beloved son Jesus Christ.
Amen.

...His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue...(2 Peter 1:3)
